Community Coalition

Founded in 1990, Community Coalition's mission is to transform the social and economic conditions in South LA that foster addiction, crime, violence and poverty by building a community institution that involves thousands in creating, influencing and changing public policy.


El Nido Family Centers

The mission of El Nido Family Centers is to empower disadvantaged or at-risk children, youth and families through educational and social services offered from neighborhood centers throughout Los Angeles County. Programs provide tools for young people to overcome trauma, recognize their inherent value and achieve their goals; and for parents to create a loving, healthy family environment.

 
Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture (FPAC)

The Association for the Advancement of Filipino American Arts and Culture, also known as FilAm ARTS is a multi-disciplinary community arts organization whose mission is to advance the understanding of the arts and diverse cultural heritage of Filipinos in the United States. With three public programs - the Annual Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture, the statewide Pilipino Artists Network, and the arts education program, Eskuwela Kultura, FilAm ARTS' organizational purpose is to engage diverse peoples in cultural arts as a synergistic approach to individual and community self-determination and empowerment.

Malaysian AIDS Council & Malaysian AIDS Foundation

The Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) was established in 1992 to serve as an umbrella organization to support and coordinate the efforts of organizations working on HIV/AIDS issues in Malaysia. MAC, in partnership with government agencies, private sector and international organizations, ensures a committed and effective response by NGOs working on HIV/AIDS issues in Malaysia.


REACH LA

REACH LA is a youth driven organization committed to educating, motivating, and mobilizing urban youth to improve their own lives and communities. The mission of REACH LA is to train low-income youth of color from Metropolitan Los Angeles, and empower them with skills to develop innovative program initiatives that lead to social change in their own peer community.


South Asian Network (SAN)

SAN is a grassroots, community based organization dedicated to advancing the health, empowerment and solidarity of persons of South Asian origin in Southern California. Founded in 1990, the overall goal of SAN is to inform and empower South Asian communities by acting as an agent of change in eliminating biases, discrimination and injustices targeted against persons of South Asian origin and by providing linkages amongst communities through shared experiences. Together, volunteers and staff have created a multilingual, culturally appropriate approaches to community organizing encompassing community outreach and education, direct service, and policy advocacy in five focus areas: immigration, public health, violence prevention, hate crime/discrimination and civil liberties.
