Synopsis:

On Sundays is the story of Tia, a young girl who turns to music to escape her father’s alcoholism. Set in the early 1990s around the time Yo MTV Raps was introduced, Tia uses hip-hop music to distract her from the realities of family life.

Reflections:

On Sundays was a semi-autobiographical piece based on the life of one of The Narra Group’s founders. While it was a deeply personal project, it was a story we knew we had to tell because alcoholism is a common reality for so many children.
