MISSION:

The Narra Group is dedicated to creating community-driven and socially relevant films that represent the complex world we live in. These stories aim to provoke thought, ignite conversation, and challenge the way people see the world.

HISTORY:

The Narra Group has been in the making for over nine years and was established by four colleagues who share a genuine passion for filmmaking and its potential to effect social change. The founders have backgrounds in the arts and film production, and expertise in non-profit work with varying focus: gender equity, at-risk youth, education, the LGBT community, HIV/AIDS awareness and education, community theatre, diversity in the workplace, multicultural awareness, and conflict resolution.

NAME:

Narra is a tree valued for its healing properties, strength and beauty. Found in the Pacific and Asia, narra trees are used to treat ailments like tuberculosis and arthritis. Trees signify life, knowledge, growth, prosperity, stability, and reciprocity.
